Jamella Cross also goes by Jam or Mel if you’re feeling adventurous.

 

Jam is a born and raised Oakland California expression artist. They have performed in the Bay Area for 10 years, with theatre companies like Berkeley Rep (Bulrusher), Aurora Theatre Company (Crumbs from the Table of Joy, SAFEHOUSE), Oakland Theatre Project (Dance of the Holy Ghost, Romeo and Juliet, is God is), San Francisco Mime Troupe (BREAKDOWN), SF Playhouse ( The Great Khan, [HIEROGLYPH]), Bay Area Children’s Theatre (Pippi Longstocking, Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site, Night Fairy) just to name a few.

Jam recently moved to NYC to fully step into their powers and fully commit to following their dreams.

Jam loves the energetic exchange in theatre. Embodying a character and humanizing them for an audience to experience and resonate with in some way shape or form. To build a relationship with the audience is something so delicious for them.
